A typical day in the bush starts off at around 5:30 am (depending on the time of the year) with a wakeup call from your field guide, followed by early morning tea/coffee served with freshly baked muffins, homemade biscuits and rusks.
An informative and professional game drive with the excitement of tracking down the untamed game and Big 5 follows, this includes a coffee break in the bush.
The adventure continues and you return to the lodge to freshen up. A sumptuous breakfast comprising of both continental and hot breakfast is served in the Boma.
Guests then have time to relax at the pool, have a massage, visit our library, or sit on their private deck or the lodge deck enjoying the sounds and smells unique to the African bushveld. Wild animals can be seen browsing around the lodge or even a herd of elephants cooling off at the waterhole. This is also a unique time for bird lovers to indulge in their passion.
Lunch is a time to interact with other guests. The selection of savoury and sweet eats produced by the chef is usually served buffet style in the Boma.
After lunch, guests go off for an afternoon game drive adventure, stopping in the bush for sundowners to watch the splendour of the African sun setting over the mountains.
Guests return to the lodge to be welcomed with a heated or cooled face cloth (dependant on the season). Either slip back to your suite to freshen up for the evening or gather in the bar for a pre-dinner drink.
Dinner is a gastronomical affair prepared by our in-house chef. Dinner will be served in one of our spectacular settings – around the fire, by candle light in the dining room or on the lodge deck.
Retire to your suite for the evening after a long, but fulfilling day in Africa. Drop off to sleep to the call of the jackal or roar of lion on a hunt. Dream about yet another adventure filled day that awaits you in the morning.
